Battersea Arts Centre

Battersea Arts Centre boasts an impressive heritage and spectacular architecture. Situated in a former Victorian town hall, the Centre unveiled the stunning results of their multi-million pound refurbishment by award-winning architects Haworth Tompkins in 2018.

The Centre’s beautiful Grand Hall, which was restored after a devastating fire in 2015, can accommodate up to 800 guests in a variety of formats. The space’s stunning lattice ceiling conceals a highly technical infrastructure and echoes original features from Battersea Arts Centre’s rich 125 year history.

The Grand Hall enjoys an abundance of natural daylight with its large windows that surround the space – however clients may wish to use the Centre’s blackout blinds in order to create their own tailored lighting effects. The atmospheric corridors running alongside provide further storytelling opportunities as guests make their way through them before stepping out into the hall itself.

Offering guests their own private entrance, the Octagonal Hall has retained exquisite period features such as a mosaic floor and domed ceiling – featuring colourful stained glass.

The Grand Hall, Octagonal Hall, Council Chamber and Members’ Library are all licensed for civil weddings and ceremonies.

Grand Hall Capacities: 300 sit-down dinner, 640 seated theatre-style, 800 standing.
