Christmas Countdown – last chance dates!

With so many options, and no time for research, it can be tricky to find the right venue for your Christmas celebration. Which is why we have rounded up a few suggestions from our incredible portfolio that still have a few last minute dates available….

Having won ‘Best Christmas Venue’ at the London Venue Awards, Somerset House is a popular festive choice with its extravagant Christmas tree and SKATE ice-rink. Additionally, event planners may add a private tour of exhibitions such as ‘Good Grief, Charlie Brown! Celebrating Peanuts and its Cultural Legacy’.  Guildhall‘s varied range of historic spaces are the perfect backdrop for a traditional Christmas in the City- the venue has a few dates left for their atmospheric Roman Amphitheatre space.

The ideal space for those looking for a luxurious London townhouse – parties at Two Temple Place are intimate yet full of grandeur, transporting guests to another time – a beautifully elegant epoque. Purpose-built for entertaining, Banqueting House with its spectacular Rubens ceiling, is still available for early Christmas celebrations in November – or new year parties in January, when the team are offering a 10% discount and free early access for set-up.

The perfect festive choice for event-planning art-lovers, the National Gallery was recently awarded Silver (‘Best Historic Venue’) and Bronze (‘Best Unusual Venue’) at the London Venue Awards. Home to a treasure trove of sublime artefacts to be discovered, the Wallace Collection has a handful of dates available.

Dramatic Tower of London, with its epic history and dazzling crown jewels, has a few dates left to offer – for lunch/dinner in the New Armories space or dinner in the famous White Tower. With breath-taking spaces, classical architecture and a fascinating history, St. Paul’s Cathedral is offering complimentary Cathedral floor access for guests on selected dates until the end of December.

For thousands of years Westminster Abbey has hosted a wealth of extraordinary events and the venue still has some dates remaining for events in the atmospheric Cellarium space. Wellington Arch was built as an original entrance to Buckingham Palace, later becoming a victory arch proclaiming Wellington’s defeat of Napoleon. An iconic landmark venue, the Arch offers magnificent views for unforgettable Christmas events.

National Portrait Gallery has a few dates left for festive events held among their impressive collection of portraits, including current exhibition, ‘Gainsborough Family Album’. With its glamorous Art Deco styling, wonderful moated grounds and medieval splendour, Eltham Palace offers a truly unique set of spaces for unforgettable Christmas events.

At Kensington Palace, guests may celebrate in a range of spaces within the ornate Palace itself or its new contemporary/classic Pavilion spaceKew Gardens offers highly memorable Christmas events – whether opting for the warmth of a cosy ‘family’ feel in the Cambridge Cottage, or the ‘wow-factor’ of the Orangery – perfect for dancing the night away under the stars.

National Maritime Museum offers a smart set of modern spaces, perfect for entertaining on a large scale – which includes newly refurbished Neptune Court with its state-of-the-art lighting capabilities. A stylish backdrop for charming Christmas events, at the foot of Greenwich Park, Queen’s House is England’s earliest example of classical architecture and one of Inigo Jones’ few surviving major works. 

With a wide range of unique galleries and blank canvas spaces, the Science Museum is home to highly interactive exhibitions – having only one key date left for events in December. Royal Hospital Chelsea‘s intimate spaces, the Wren House and State Apartments, still have a little availability in December and are the perfect setting for stylish Christmas drinks and/or dinner parties.

Christmas at Hampton Court Palace is truly unique. Larger numbers can be accommodated in the Great Hall or the Cartoon Gallery, with smaller events possible within the King’s State Apartments or Little Banqueting House. Historical Wrest Park offers an eclectic range of styles for Christmas events with personality, incorporating formal design, the more natural style of Capability Brown and chateau-style chic.

One of the most beautiful country estates – and one of the last to be privately owned in London – Syon Park is a beautiful, peaceful and tranquil venue for stunning Christmas events, just twenty-five minutes from Central London.
