The Hidden Garden Festival at Hampton Court Palace

We were delighted to have provided the food at the Hidden Garden Festival at Hampton Court Palace last week. Guests were invited to a Showcase to launch Hampton Court Palace’s new event space, the 20th Century Garden, which has space for up to 600 guests.
Guests arrived at the idyllic riverside location and made their way across the bridge from the Palace to the magical garden, complete with floral wellies, circus entertainers and heartbeat monitoring lights. Blue Strawberry served delicious canapés including a sea bass ceviche with sweet potato, passion fruit, red pepper and avocado and a yuzu and vanilla cured fillet in a wonton cone with enoki mushrooms and lemon ricotta. With cocktails from The Rum Runner flowing, the wandering entertainment from Sternberg Clerk made their way around the space. Mini meals of gorgonzola and walnut filled gnocchi and pan roasted duck breast with beetroot purée followed, as guests marvelled at the wonderful floristry from Simon Lycett and stunning furniture and colourful tents by Raj Tent Club.
Our luxury BBQ station included grilled swordfish skewers, miso marinated vegetable skewers and fillet of Greek lamb. The highlight of the evening was the ‘Life’s a Beach’ dessert station, with eleven desserts presented on an edible food station including honeycomb and panna cotta sandcastles, shortcake lifesavers, Captain Morgan truffles and a bottom of the sea verrine passionfruit mousse with shortbread sand, sweet coral and caramel seaweed.
There was an air of excitement in the garden as guests and suppliers began to fantasise about what can be done with this magical space. All of the intricate detail and creativity made for a truly enchanting occasion and it was fantastic to see the very best in the industry coming together to produce a wonderful evening.
