Blue Strawberry’s Knight at the Tower

The Tower of London is steeped in history; nearly 1,000 years of siege, ceremony, triumphs, tears, blood and even bears!

It is a fascinating location for events, and last week this medieval venue was the setting for an unusually modern midsummers dinner with some close friends and clients. Fresh duck egg blue and copper tones made for a fresh and summery banqueting table.

We were delighted to showcase a selection of our dishes, from canapes in the courtyard, to a stunning seated dinner in the White Tower. Guests dined on a sweetcorn panna cotta coronation crab amuse bouche, starter of fillet steak carpaccio, main course of steamed gilt head bream and dessert of nitro strawberry split, elderflower mouse and pinenut sable: a juxtaposition of the best of modern cuisine in one of London’s oldest and most historic settings

While our guests enjoyed fine wine and a piping hot dinner the back of house were breaking boundaries to make this happen! The White Tower, has almost no power supply for us to use – it’s not even possible to plug in a single oven. Our creative and innovative chefs always deliver interesting menus, employing very unconventional cooking when working in such restrictive conditions.

As you know we live by our tag line; sensational food, bespoke events and exceptional design, it’s reflected in everything we do!

With big thanks to the Historic Royal Palaces’ Tower of London team, as well as a number of fabulous suppliers such as Pinstripe & Peonies florists, Great hire UK, Prelude entertainment and Miranda Parry photography, thank you for all contributing to make such a super evening.
